Our Parish Schools

We are extremely proud of Our Lady's and St Augustine's our two primary schools which have provided local families with warm and caring places to educate their children in an atmosphere of faith. Both schools have nurseries. Please contact the headteacher of either school for further information or to arrange a visit.

Newman Catholic High School is also within the parish and we have strong links with this successful high school.

All three schools were acknowledged to be GOOD in their most recent Ofsted inspection reports.

We are delighted to share the news that Saint Augustine's Primary School has been recognised by Ofsted as a GOOD SCHOOL. This well deserved judgement is a fantastic endorsement of the achievements of everyone associated with the school including our children. Everyone will also appreciate that Mrs Towey has led our great team of staff to great effect in achieving steady progress placing the school in a very good place for even greater achievements in the future. Foundation Governors

Each of our schools relies on the support of governors representing the parish and the Diocese and helping the schools uphold and develop their distinctively Catholic ethos of education. We recruit governors who will be able to offer a wide range of skills and insights which would include knowledge of education, finance, administration, human resources, etc...

If you think this is a service that you could offer then speak with Fr Peter who may be able to nominate you when a vacancy occurs.
